About the Festival:
The Michigan Womyn's Music Festival, which is held each August on private land in Michigan, was founded in 1976 by a group of young womyn as an alternative to the male-dominated music industry and society that surrounded them. It has grown into one of the oldest and largest lesbian feminist gatherings in the world. For more information, visit the Festival homepage.
